The production of Oreste Mariani stems from the balance between tradition and cutting-edge approach. Every stage of the process, meticulously tailored, aims at creating fabrics of the highest quality, able to meet the demands of contemporary luxury.
From jacquard looms to dobby looms, our technologies integrate with the refinement of materials, combining the purity of natural fibres with the technical performance of yarns.
At our Research and Development Centre, innovation becomes fabric: this is where our collections are born, the result of continuous development unbound by seasonality, capable of interpreting the trends of an ever-evolving market. In addition to producing large volumes, we also create exclusive and personalised fabrics, the product of creative dialogue with our clients.
The stages of our production process.
For over 80 years, Oreste Mariani has stood out for quality, speed, and precision. We manage every stage of production internally, from the selection of yarns to weaving, right through to finishing, with meticulous attention to detail: an integrated management that allows us to create unique, perfectly tailored solutions capable of meeting our clients’ most ambitious requests.
01. Weaving
Thanks to the use of state-of-the-art looms, we are able to produce fabrics with a high technical content, combining the refinement of natural fibres with the functionality of synthetic fibres.
We produce both yarn-dyed and piece-dyed fabrics, ensuring extraordinary production capacity. The continuous innovation of our machinery allows us to ensure precision, speed, and consistent quality in every single piece, meeting every demand of luxury and fashion.
02. Dyeing
Initially created to meet internal production needs, our dyeing department has evolved over the years into a cutting-edge facility capable of offering fast and punctual services, even for third-party work.
Thanks to our production organisation, we are able to support clients in both the sampling and production phases up to twelve colours, regardless of the volume requested, ensuring quality and colour uniformity.
The department is equipped with state-of-the-art jiggers for dyeing textile fibres, both synthetic, like polyester, and natural. Each stage undergoes rigorous checks, with spectrophotometric readings ensuring impeccable results.
03. Printing
Printing is handled in-house, in all its stages.
The offer includes both inkjet and sublimation printing, the latter with the option of internal digital paper printing. Both types of printing offer high quality and flexibility, perfectly meeting the specific needs of our clients.
Our team of CAD designers contributes at every creative stage, ensuring constant precision and accuracy in design.
04. Finishing
Finishing is the final step in our production process, where every detail is perfected to ensure the highest quality.
At this stage, we apply specialised treatments that enhance the aesthetic and functional qualities of the fabrics.
Waterproofing, acrylic and polyurethane resin coating, breathable finishes and delavé treatments for garment washing are just some of the options offered, all fully customisable according to individual requests.
From yarn to fabric, a fully in-house supply chain.
At Oreste Mariani, complete control of the supply chain allows us to guarantee a perfect product. This result is made possible thanks to an integrated production, which takes place entirely in one facility: here the raw yarn becomes finished fabric, ready for tailoring.
This organisation allows us to speed up every stage of the process, ensuring a customised service, consistent quality and complete traceability of the fabrics. This enables us to respond with flexibility to each client’s requirements, adapting production for both large batches and smaller volumes.
